Ashwin had mankaded Jos Buttler last year when RR played KXIP in Jaipur.
Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 is going to be more challenging for the non-strikers. Spinner R Ashwin has warned them on Twitter that he will not stop mankading batsmen if they stray out of the crease.
The former Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) captain mankaded Jos Buttler during a match against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2019. He had received a lot of criticism over his action, but the mankading was within the rules.
It took a while for a lot of fans to accept Ashwin's mankading. Now they want to know if there are going to be more such dismissals from his side in upcoming IPL or not? Ashwin, on Twitter, responded to a fan about the batsmen who should fear him. On which, he said, "Anyone that goes out of the crease".
The off-spinner will be playing for Delhi Capitals in next season after KXIP traded him before the auction.
The fans' reaction may change if we see another mankading in IPL. Mankading isn't a common way of dismissal and many think it's against the spirit of the game, which is why many followers of the game don't think it's morally correct. However, rules are clearly in favor of the bowler.
