There have been talks of his end in India colours since the nation's emotional ouster from World Cup 2019 in England but the great MS Dhoni is reportedly set to feature and lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK) once again in the Indian Premier League (IPL) next season.

38-year-old Dhoni, who scored 273 runs in eight innings at the World Cup, it is understood, is likely to be retiring from international cricket soon. However, he will at least play for CSK in the IPL 2020.

"Whatever may be the speculation, he will play for us next year," a CSK official close to the matter was quoted as saying by Mumbai Mirror regarding the franchise skipper who had played an integral role in the team's successful run last season until the final where Mumbai Indians prevailed by just one run.

It has already been reported that Dhoni is unlikely to be the part of the squad for the upcoming West Indies tour where India will face off the hosts in three T20Is, as many ODIs and a couple of Test matches, as part of the inaugural World Test Championship cycle.

India captain Virat Kohli and pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah will be resting from the limited-overs leg too before a full-strength Test squad is expected to be announced.
