Harry Gurney, the left-arm pacer from England, represents the Kolkata Knight Riders in VIVO IPL 2019. So far, he has taken 3 wickets in as many matches. Apart from on the field, he has gained attention off it too.

The 32-year-old plays T20 cricket for his county side Nottinghamshire in England. Currently, the Nottinghamshire team is playing T20s whereas Gurney is playing the IPL. Well, it is his decision where he wants to play.

However, this decision of his is not going down well with the Nottinghamshire fans back in England. Some people are calling IPL ‘clown cricket’ that is paying more money to cricketers.

Some angry fans took to Twitter to vent their anger on him by mentioning his twitter handle in the tweets. A tweet read, “You enjoying getting money for playing clown cricket not worth it.” To which, he replied quite calmly.

He tweeted, “1. Your lack of punctuation means that this tweet could be interpreted in many different ways. 2. Calling t20 clown cricket is pretty ignorant, but... 3. Yes I am, thanks.

Gurney once again stated a fact and shut down the user. He tweeted, “1. Your punctuality hasn’t improved despite my feedback. 2. IPL is the sixth most watched league of all sports in the entire world.
