CSK kept KKR to 108/9 in 20 overs with Russell making 50*.
Chennai bowlers, especially Deepak Chahar tore into KKR batting picking wickets of Lynn, Uthappa, and Rana, as KKR lost 6 wickets in 10.1 overs for 47 runs. Then Imran Tahir and Harbhajan Singh weaved their magic as the duo picked two wickets each.
MS Dhoni is usually very precise with his DRS calls and most of the times overrules his bowlers on calls, but in a funny instance, he gave into the over-enthusiastic appealing of Imran Tahir. Tahir bowled a perfect leg-spinner in the 15th over and rapped Russell on the pads. As Tahir does, he appealed voraciously and then started convincing a smiling Dhoni to go for the review.
Dhoni knew the ball had spun too much to hit the stumps, but still took the review. DRS confirmed that despite ball hitting the pads within stumps, was missing the stumps and review was gone, since umpire had already called it not out.
