It is still not clear what comment had actually upset the fan
Former New Zealand fast bowler Simon Doull, who is covering the ongoing Indian Premier League as a commentator, has received an online death threat from an angry RCB fan named Dharnish Murthy.
Talking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Doull himself posted the screenshot of the threat which reads: “***** think about what are speaking next man. RCB is not a team who will accept there defeat dude so **** yoself man. Don ever comment about RCB. If you do that you will be killed for sure mate.”
It is still not clear what comment had actually upset the fan. No wonder, Doull was also left perplexed by the extreme reaction.
"Not sure what I said but a Death threat, Really.? It's only a game of cricket Mate. Chill out..," he wrote on Twitter.
It is worth mentioning here that RCB are having a dreadful time in IPL 2019. They have lost all their four games and are currently placed at the bottom of the points table.
While the Virat Kohli-led side suffered a seven-wicket defeat at the hands of defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the tournament opener, they agonizingly fell 6 runs short of Mumbai Indians’ target in the second game. The third match was a nightmare for RCB as they coped a humiliating 118-run defeat versus Sunrisers Hyderabad. In their fourth match, Rajasthan Royals beat the Bangalore-based franchise by seven wickets.
