Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli has finally taken their motto 'Play Bold' seriously. Taking a bold decision, Kohli has quit RCB captaincy after a humiliating loss against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Virat had called the loss one of their worst. His words after the match were, "one of our worst losses ever. Literally, nothing I can explain."

No one would have expected what is coming after the loss. Virat has decided to step down from captaincy and hand over the role to Yuzvendra Chahal, the rising star of Indian cricket.

"I want to step down from the captaincy and give the role to Yuzvendra Chahal. He is an integral part of RCB and also the Indian cricket team. He has time to shape himself better as a leader. Also, that would give Chahal an opportunity to promote himself in the batting order and hit a six someday, finally," Kohli said.

The ex-Bangalore skipper also said that he wants to see Chahal leading a side of his own in future like R Ashwin, although he doesn't want him to Mankad a batsman. "I will groom him like Mahi bhai groomed Ashwin," he said smiling with tears rolling down his face.

There is doubt over his availability in the IPL 2019 as well. There is speculation that he might take rest to prepare for the World Cup, and if RCB management doesn't allow, he will have an altercation with umpire S Ravi to get a ban for rest of the tournament. That way he can also get his revenge.
