IPL 2019: Gautam Gambhir leaves CSK and RCB out of his picks for top four teams this season

Gambhir doesn't feel the star studded teams could make it to the top four.

Former KKR and Delhi Daredevils captain Gautam Gambhir has made predictions for the IPL 2019. Gambhir, who once changed the fate of Kolkata Knight Riders and led them to two title victories doesn't feel that Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore, two big teams of IPL are going to make it to playoffs.

His decision to keep Super Kings out was surprising considering they have made it to the top four every time they played an IPL season. Gambhir named Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kings XI Punjab the franchises who would rule the group matches.

Talking to Star Sports, he said, " Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab, Sunrisers Hyderabad, KKR."

King XI Punjab had started off really well last year. But a break in mid-season broke their momentum and after a dominating start, they even failed to make it to the top four.

The R Ashwin-led side would like to work on their mistakes from last season. Headache for them would be the out-of-form KL Rahul who played a major role in keeping Kings XI Punjab in the race last year.
