IPL 2019: Rajasthan Royals announces the list of retained and released players

Royals has retained 16 and released 10 players from their previous year's squad.

Inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan Royals has disclosed the names of players that have been retained and released on the last day of the deadline. Royals has retained 16 and released 10 players from their previous year's squad.

The likes of Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Krishnappa Gowtham, Jofra Archer and Shreyas Gopal are some of the names who sparkled and have been retained for the next season. RR has also retained Steve Smith, who had missed the IPL 2018 after being banned by Cricket Australia for his involvement in ball-tampering scandal.

The team decided to release Australian batsman D’Arcy Short along with Ben Laughlin, Heinrich Klaasen, Dane Paterson, Zahir Khan, Dushmantha Chameera. The Indian names released by the franchise include Jaydev Unadkat, Anureet Singh, Ankit Sharma and Jatin Saxena.
