The deadline for announcing player retentions before IPL 2027 auction is November 17.
This news comes before the deadline to announce the player retentions on November 17, while the IPL 2027 mini auction is scheduled on December 16 in Goa.
Liam Livingstone has played 100 international matches for England, during which he has scored more than 1500 runs. In the IPL, he has appeared in 51 games, amassing over 1000 runs with a strike rate above 155.
Jack Edwards is an Australian all-rounder who is 26 years old. In T20 cricket, he has accumulated 865 runs and taken 58 wickets. In first-class cricket, this right-hand batter has scored nearly 2500 runs, with 4 centuries among them.
“Livingstone, the England all-rounder, joins CSK at a reduced fee of INR 6 crore, having originally been acquired by SRH for INR 13 crore. Australian seam-bowling all-rounder Edwards also joins CSK at his existing fee of INR 3 crore. Edwards was signed by SRH before making his international debut for Australia but could not feature in IPL 2026 after being ruled out with a foot injury,” an IPL statement read.
Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad have acquired the pace bowling duo of Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis. SRH were on the lookout for some bowling power, given that they had to rely on two debutants in IPL 2026, Sakib Hussain and Praful Hinge.
“SRH acquired left-arm fast bowler Khaleel at his existing fee of INR 4.8 crore. Khaleel, who previously represented SRH from 2018 to 2021, returns to the franchise after an impressive IPL 2025 campaign, in which he claimed 15 wickets in 14 matches for CSK. He featured in five matches for CSK in IPL 2026 before being ruled out of the season with a right quadriceps injury.
Australian fast bowler Ellis also joins SRH at his existing fee of INR 2 crore. Known for his variations and effectiveness in the death overs, Ellis brings valuable T20 experience and adds to SRH’s pace-bowling resources,” an IPL statement read.
Khaleel Ahmed has 91 wickets in 76 IPL games, at an economy of 8.95 and with the best bowling figures of 3/21. He has also played 11 ODIs and 18 T20Is for India, taking a total of 31 wickets to his name.
On the other hand, Nathan Ellis has played 27 ODIs and 39 T20Is for Australia, taking a cumulative 98 wickets. Meanwhile, in the IPL, Ellis has 19 wickets in 17 games. SRH will be the third team Ellis plays for, having represented Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings previously.
