The decision was prompted by a scheduling conflict with India's fifth ODI against New Zealand.
According to the report, the decision was prompted by a scheduling conflict with the fifth and final ODI between India and New Zealand, which takes place on the original deadline date of November 15.
The report further stated that the board informed all 10 franchises of this change via a communique on Monday (November 2). Despite this change, the IPL 2027 mini-auction remains scheduled for December 16 in Goa.
The date of the auction will also clash with India’s international fixture. The Men in Blue will be playing their second ODI against Sri Lanka at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. However, the BCCI has confirmed in their latest communication that the mini-auction will still be held on aforementioned date.
The BCCI also announced key dates for the registration and auction process. Player registration got underway on November 2. Franchises need to submit their final retained and released player lists by November 17, while the player registration will conclude on November 23.
IPL teams must hand in their trimmed down, preferred lists of player choices to narrow down the bidding field by December 1. The BCCI will publish the final auction register, including the player sets, on December 3.
