Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are facing off in the IPL 2026 Qualifier 1 on May 26, 2026. This match is being played at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, and saw Gujarat captain Shubman Gill win the toss and choose to bowl first.

RCB looked to take on the GT bowlers, and Venkatesh Iyer showed the intent in his 7-ball 19. Devdutt Padikkal continued the trend, scoring 30 runs in 19 balls with 5 fours, while Virat Kohli made 43 in 25 balls with 5 fours and 1 six.

However, the best knock from the RCB came from its captain Rajat Patidar, who counterattacked when Kohli and Padikkal fell in the game over. He smashed 93* in 33 balls, hitting 9 sixes and 5 fours. He received good support from Krunal Pandya (43) and Jitesh Sharma (15* in 5 balls).

RCB posted 254/5 in 20 overs, the highest-ever score in an IPL playoffs game.

GT knew that they were in for a tough chase and much depended on their opening pair of Sai Sudharsan and captain Shubman Gill. Sai started with two beautiful fours of the first two balls he faced from Jacob Duffy in the first over.

The Orange Cap holder looked at ease and had reached 14 runs in 9 balls, before he was dismissed in the most unfortunate fashion. He cut a short ball from Duffy towards the point boundary,y and everyone,ne including the camera, panned towards the boundary.

However, in doing so, Sai lost the grip of the bat and set off for a run. Meanwhile, the bat bounced near the stumps and then bounced again and hit the stumps, dislodging the bails as well. Sudharsan had to walk back with disappointment on his face.
