Virat Kohli hit his 9th IPL ton and remained unbeaten.
Finn Allen (18) and Ajinkya Rahane (19) tried to give KKR a flying start, but in actual fact, it was Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green and their 68-run partnership that gave KKR the momentum. Green fell for 32 runs, but Raghuvanshi carried on until the last ball.
He found further support in Rinku Singh while scoring 71 with 7 fours and 3 sixes. Rinku smashed 49* in 29 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes as KKR posted 192/4 in 20 overs.
In response, it was a one-man show from RCB as Virat Kohli, the chase master, showed the youngsters how to chase down a total. Jacob Bethell fell for 15, but Kohli kept going, adding 92 runs for the second wicket with Devdutt Padikkal, who made 39 runs with 7 fours.
After that, Rajat Patidar (11) and Tim David (2) fell early, but it was Virat Kohli, who slammed a magnificent 105* in 60 balls with 11 fours and 3 sixes, that took RCB to the target with 6 wickets in hand in the final over. This was Virat Kohli’s 9th IPL ton, and he also went past the 14,000-run mark in T20 cricket.
With this win, RCB moved to the top of the IPL 2026 points table with 16 points from 8 wins in 12 games. KKR moved to the 8th spot with 4 wins from 11 games and 8 points to their name.
The cricket fraternity paid tribute to one of the most clinical knocks by Virat Kohli in RCB’s win on social media.
