Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) clashed in the 55th match of the IPL 2026 on May 11, 2026. This match was played at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala, and DC’s Axar Patel won the toss and chose to bowl first.

Priyansh Arya smashed 56 in 33 balls with 6 sixes and 2 fours, giving a flying start to PBKS's innings. Shreyas Iyer made 59*, while Cooper Connolly made 38 runs. But DC managed to slow things down in the middle until Suryansh Shedge smoked 21* in 8 balls to help PBKS make 210/5 in 20 overs.

Mitchell Starc and Madhav Tiwari took two wickets each for DC.

DC openers KL Rahul and Abishek Porel got out for single-digit scores, while Sahil Parakh and Tristan Stubbs made 13 and 12 each. This is when out-of-form DC captain Axar Patel rediscovered his batting acumen and hammered 56 in 30 balls.

He added 64 important runs with David Miller, who made 51 to bring DC back into the chase. The rest of the work was done by Ashutosh Sharma (21) and Madhav Tiwari (18*), as DC won the game by 3 wickets with one over to spare. Arshdeep Singh and Yash Thakur picked two wickets each for PBKS.

Madhav Tiwari was named the Player of the Match for his all-round show.

With this win, DC managed to stay afloat in the race for the playoffs, while PBKS have slumped to their fourth straight loss after an excellent start. They now have 6 wins from 11 games and 13 points to their name.

The cricket fraternity reacted to the Delhi Capitals winning the game and the Punjab Kings' downward spiral after 4th loss in a row.
