LSG batted first and posted 209/3 thanks to Mitchell Marsh's 111.
Mitchell Marsh proved to be the star batter for LSG, as he smashed 111 in 56 balls with 9 fours and 9 sixes to his name. His innings kept LSG in the driver's seat despite multiple rain interruptions. He found able support from Nicholas Pooran, who made 38 in 23 balls.
LSG received a brilliant finish from captain Rishabh Pant, who smashed 32* in 10 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes, as LSG posted 209/3 in 19 balls, as one over was deducted due to time loss due to rain.
RCB was asked to chase 213 runs in 19 overs in a revised target. Jacob Bethell hammered Mohammad Shami for a four but was out caught by Prince Yadav in the same over.
Then Virat Kohli came on strike and was looking to open his account. However, Prince Yadav got a delivery to come into Kohli from length, and the ace RCB batter played the wrong line, as the ball went through the gap between bat and pad and flattened the off stump.
Prince Yadav jumped in joy and thanked his gods for giving him the prized wicket of Virat Kohli, while the RCB star trudged off the pitch in disappointment.

Kohli’s innings ended on a two-ball duck. Incidentally, this was Kohli’s first duck in the IPL in 1110 days. Kohli’s last duck in the IPL came on April 23, 2023, when he was dismissed by Trent Boult, who played for the Rajasthan Royals then, on the first ball of the game.
