Samson added 114* runs for 3rd wicket with Kartik Sharma to take CSK to the win.
The DC top order did not establish a strong platform or receive a significant score. At 69/5, Pathum Nissanka (19), KL Rahul (12), Nitish Rana (15), Karun Nair (13), and Axar Patel (9) departed DC. DC managed a comeback thanks to a 65-run partnership between Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs.
DC reached 155/7 in 20 overs thanks to Stubbs' 38 in 31 balls and Rizvi's 40* in 24 balls with four sixes. Noor Ahmad took 2/22 for CSK.
In response, a fit again Lungi Ngidi dismissed Ruturaj Gaikwad for 6 to give DC a good start, while Urvil Patel fell for a 9-ball 17 to Axar Patel. However, Sanju Samson kept one end busy and scored at a brisk pace as well.
He remained 87* with 7 fours and 6 sixes and also added an unbeaten 114/run partnership with Kartik Sharma for the 3rd wicket. Kartik made 41* in 31 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. CSK won the game in 17.3 overs and 8 wickets in hand.
This win means CSK now has 5 wins from 10 games and 10 points to their name, while DC are on a downward spiral with 4 wins from 10 games and 8 points to their name.
The cricket fraternity was praiseful of CSK’s performance and took to social media to laud Sanju Samson’s brilliant knock.
