MI and CSK will clash in Chennai on May 2.
A day before the CSK v MI tie, both teams were practicing under lights, and that’s when MI skipper Hardik Pandya greeted CSK legend MS Dhoni. Dhoni and Pandya even hugged each other before the Mumbai Indians captain nonchalantly presented his bat to his former national teammate.
Seemingly seeking guidance from the famed wicketkeeper-batter, the CSK stumper indulged in Pandya's request, as the two cricketers were seen talking for a time.
Furthermore, Hardik Pandya also saw MS Dhoni bat in the nets. He was in awe as the veteran hit a massive shot on a short ball. Seeing the ball sail into the stands, Hardik Pandya had words of appreciation for the legend.
“Mahi bhai, love you, darling, bye-bye," Hardik said as he walked away after seeing Dhoni hit that six.
Both CSK and MI are in dire need of a few wins. MI, with only two wins in 8 games, is one loss away from being virtually eliminated from the IPL 2026. CSK fare a little better with 3 wins from 8 games and are alive in the race for playoffs, although barely.
