However, things were looking bleak for KKR at 93/7, but Rinku Singh kept scoring runs and managed to get 83* in 51 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes. He hit Digvesh Rathi for 4 consecutive sixes in the final over of the KKR innings, leading his team to 155/7. Mohsin Khan was the star for LSG, taking 5/23 in his 4 overs.
In response, Vaibhav Arora got Mitchell Marsh out for 2 runs before Aiden Markram (31) and Rishabh Pant (42) stabilized the innings with a fifty-plus partnership. With the match ending in a tie, a Super Over happened with LSG batting first with Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram opening and Sunil Narine bowling for KKR.
Narine dismissed Pooran on the first ball, bringing out Rishabh Pant, who took a single on his first ball. Narine then had Markram caught on the boundary the very next ball, with Powell and Rinku combining for an excellent catch.
KKR's Rinku Singh and Rovman Powell came out to chase 2 runs for the win and achieved the target when Rinku hit LSG's Prince Yadav for a four on the first ball. Rinku Singh was also named the Player of Match.
With this win, KKR moved to the eighth spot with 4 points from 2 wins in 8 games, while LSG slipped to the bottom, the 10th position.
