IPL 2026: Cricket fraternity praises RR's bowling performance as they record clinical 40-run win over LSG

RR moved to second spot in IPL 2026 points table with this win.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) clashed in the 32nd match of the ongoing IPL 2026 on April 22, 2026. This game was played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.

Rishabh Pant, the LSG captain, won the toss and chose to bowl first. Ravindra Jadeja top-scored with 43, while Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shimron Hetmyer made 22 runs each as RR posted 159/6 in 20 overs. Mohammad Shami, Prince Yadav, and Mohsin Khan shared two wickets each on a bowler-friendly track.

Mitchell Marsh was the lone warrior for LSG, scoring 55 in 41 balls, as their wickets fell like nine pins, with Nicholas Pooran making 22. Jofra Archer took 3/20, while Nandre Burger and Brijesh Sharma took 2 wickets apiece, as they bowled LSG out for 119 runs.

RR won the game by 40 runs and moved to the second spot in the IPL 2026 points table with 5 wins from 7 games and 10 points to their name.

The cricket fraternity was all praises for a complete team effort by RR and lauded them on social media.
