The chaotic incident occurred during the 15th over of RR's innings against LSG.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant missed a major run-out opportunity during their IPL 2026 match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Ekana Cricket Stadium on Wednesday (April 22).
The chaotic incident occurred on the fifth delivery of the 15th over delivered by Mayank Yadav to Ravindra Jadeja, who tucked a slower ball to square leg and called for a second run. Jadeja then abruptly sent back his partner, Donovan Ferreira, who was already nearly halfway down the pitch.
Pant, in his attempt to collect a wayward throw from Nicholas Pooran, collided with the stumps and dislodged the bails before receiving the ball.
By the time Pant collected the ball and threw it, Ferreira had managed to dive back into the crease. The replay confirmed the bat was in, and the RR batter remained not out.

Coming to the match, RR posted a modest total of 159/6 on the board. It was a poor batting performance as no one managed to hit a fifty. Jadeja returned as the top scorer with 43 not out off 29 balls.
Mohammad Shami, Prince Yadav and Mohsin Khan starred with the ball for LSG, bagging two wickets each.
