Eshan Malinga and Harsh Dubey shared 7 wickets in between them for SRH.
DC's Axar Patel won the toss and decided to field first. Ishan Kishan scored 25 runs before being run out, while Travis Head scored 37 and accumulated 97 runs in 9 overs for the first wicket with Abhishek Sharma.
But the SRH innings belonged to Abhishek Sharma, who struck his second IPL ton for the franchise. He batted like a man possessed and hit 10 fours and 10 sixes in his 68-ball 135* knock.
Towards the fag end of the innings, he got support from Heinrich Klaasen, who made 37* in 13 balls with 3 sixes and 3 fours and pushed the SRH final total to 242/2 in 20 overs.
In response, SRH pacer Dilshan Madushanka removed his countryman and DC opener Pathum Nissanka for 8 runs. But then KL Rahul’s 37 and Nitish Rana’s 30-ball 57 runs gave some much-needed impetus to the DC innings.
However, Eshan Malinga and Sakib Hussain took crucial wickets to damage DC’s momentum, and with David Miller getting out for a golden duck, the wind out of the chase was gone. Tristan Stubbs fell for 27 runs, and Sameer Rizvi scored 41, which helped lessen the deficit.
DC managed 195/9 in the end and lost the game by 47 runs. For SRH, Eshan Malinga starred with 4/32, while Harsh Dubey took 3/12 in two overs. This was SRH’s third straight win in the ongoing IPL 2026.
The cricket fraternity was all praises for Abhishek Sharma’s scintillating ton that helped SRH extend their winning run.
