IPL 2026: WATCH- MS Dhoni's brilliant keeping in CSK nets; signals batter towards pavilion instead of stumping him

MS Dhoni is yet to play a single game in IPL 2026.

MS Dhoni is back to doing what he is best at behind the stumps as his team Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is set to face off against Mumbai Indians (MI) on April 23 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in the ongoing IPL 2026.

MS Dhoni is yet to play a game for CSK in this ongoing tournament, after he suffered a calf strain before IPL 19 began. It was estimated that Dhoni would miss upto two weeks of game time, but it has been more than three weeks since the tournament began and Dhoni has only batted in nets, occasionally doing some jogging and guiding the youngsters.

However, in a latest video posted by CSK on social media, MS Dhoni was seen keeping wickets as the batters prepped for the MI clash at the Wankhede Stadium. In the video, the batter tries to dance down the track and misses the ball.

MS Dhoni collected the ball, and instead of stumping the batter, he signaled him to go back to the pavilion in jest.

CSK are not having the best time in IPL 2026, having won only two games out of six played and having four points to their name. They are currently 8^th on the IPL 2026 points table.
