Shreyas Iyer, PBKS captain won the toss and chose to bowl first against SRH.
Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head hammered the PBKS bowlers to all parts of the ground, as SRH raced to 100 in 5.5 overs. Abhishek made 74 runs in 28 balls with 8 sixes and 5 fours, while Head made 38 in 23 balls with 5 fours and 1 six, as both fell to Shashank Singh.
Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen tried to stabilize the innings, and Kishan made 27 in 17 balls with 3 fours and 1 six in his knock before an excellent catch by Marco Jansen ended his time at the crease.
The incident happened on the final ball of the 14th over bowled by Arshdeep Singh. Singh bowled a full delivery, swinging into Kishan. Kishan just whipped the ball towards the mid-wicket boundary. The ball was going sailing over the fence, but only for Marco Jansen to intervene.
Jansen, running towards the ball, just put his right hand out and plucked the ball right out of thin air and took the catch. Arshdeep Singh and Ishan Kishan both looked stunned at Jansen’s amazing catch.
