MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and chose to bowl first in 11-overs-a-side game v RR.
RR opened with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and they got to work from the first over. Deepak Chahar was hammered for 4 fours and one six by Jaiswal. However, the fans were waiting for the best match-up as MI’s Jasprit Bumrah faced off against RR’s Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
This was the first time Sooryavanshi was facing Jasprit Bumrah, and the legendary MI pacer was hit for a huge six on the first ball, with Sooryavanshi whipping the ball over mid-on. There was no respect for the five-time IPL and two-time T20 World Cup champion Jasprit Bumrah as Sooryavanshi got the ball in his area and hit it for a six.
Then, after two singles, Sooryavanshi got the strike again against Bumrah, and the bowler delivered the ball just outside off-stump. Sooryavanshi just showed his immense talent and picked up the ball and hit it for a huge six over the deep square leg.

The next two balls were dot balls, despite Bumrah bowling two full tosses. Sooryavanshi and Jaiswal added 80 runs in 5 overs before the young left-hander was dismissed by Shardul Thakur for 39 runs in 14 balls with one four and five sixes.
