MS Dhoni is suffering from a calf strain and ruled out for a few games.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) legend MS Dhoni was seen batting in the nets ahead of the CSK home game against Punjab Kings on Sunday, April 3, 2026. CSK lost their first game of the IPL 2026 to Rajasthan Royals in a one-sided contest in Guwahati.
MS Dhoni has been ruled out for a few matches after suffering a calf strain, and he didn’t travel to Guwahati either. However, ever since the CSK squad returned home to Chepauk, Dhoni has been seen mentoring players and participating in net sessions.
In a recent net practice, MS Dhoni was seen hitting a no-look six and looked extremely good with the bat.

In their first Indian Premier League home game on Friday, the Chennai Super Kings would need to make considerable progress in every aspect of the game in order to challenge the formidable Punjab Kings.
