IPL 2026: WATCH- ‘You can’t get ball outside 30-yard circle’- Buttler responds to Chahal’s ’20-run over’ jibe

PBKS and GT will clash in IPL 2026 on March 31 in New Chandigarh.

Ahead of the Punjab Kings (PBKS) v Gujarat Titans (GT) IPL 2026 match in New Chandigarh on March 31, 2026, GT’s Jos Buttler and PBKS’ Yuzvendra Chahal got into a funny banter. It has to be noted that Buttler and Chahal played together for the Rajasthan Royals for quite some time before being released before the IPL 2025 mega auction.

Chahal was then signed by PBKS for INR 18 crore, while Buttler agreed to an INR 15.75 crore deal with GT. The duo, who were once teammates but are now opponents, will face off on Tuesday night. Ahead of the match, PBKS uploaded a video of Chahal saying he once faced Buttler.

“Two years back, I smashed Jos Buttler – one over, 20 runs," Chahal joked. Buttler responded quickly: “(You) Can’t get (the ball) outside the 30-yard circle." Chahal was also seen checking out Buttler’s bat in the video.

Buttler, on the other hand, has 4120 runs in 121 IPL games, with 7 centuries and 24 fifties, including the best score of 124 and a strike rate of 149.38.
