RCB won its maiden IPL title in 2025, defeating PBKS in the final.
Jitesh, known for his sharp tongue and witty banter, made a joke at the expense of his former franchise, Punjab Kings, as well as two other trophy-less franchises, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants.
Jitesh was discussing the IPL on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast and RCB’s IPL 2025 win, where Jitesh’s glove work and batting down the order were crucial in their victory.
The podcast host listed out the three franchises that now remain winless in the IPL following IPL success, saying, “Abhi bas Punjab, Delhi, LSG, yeh teen team bachi hain (Now just Punjab, Delhi, and LSG are left to win).”
Jitesh was quick to reply, "Bachi rahengi (They will stay left out)," taking a jibe at the three franchises yet to win the IPL trophy. Ranveer couldn’t help but let out a huge laugh. Jitesh did try to smooth out the banter a little bit by adding on, “We will try to win again.”
