IPL 2026: WATCH- Fans get emotional and cry as MS Dhoni makes entry in Chepauk stadium for CSK’s ‘Roar26’ event

CSK will face RR in their IPL 2026 tournament opener in Guwahati on March 30.

Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain and legend MS Dhoni made the fans go crazy as he made his entry into the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai ahead of the IPL 2026 tournament. The IPL 2026 begins on March 26.

Fans congregated at the stadium for CSK's 'Roar26' event, which featured some of the franchise's retired legends, like Matthew Hayden, Michael Hussey, Suresh Raina, and Dwayne Bravo, alongside the current squad. Some CSK players trained on the field before taking part in activities such as a fun cricket session.

Dhoni came out in front of a decently packed stadium with loud cheers of ‘Thala Thala’ ringing around the ground. Several of the fans got emotional seeing Dhoni back on the cricket field, and many of them even began to cry.

Dhoni, 44, is set for his 19th season in the IPL. The five-time IPL-winning captain remains as important to CSK as ever.

Not only MS Dhoni, but fans went crazy to see Sanju Samson as well when he entered the ground amidst loud cheers and his name being chanted.
