IPL 2026: WATCH- Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar tussle during RCB practice session

RCB will face SRH in the IPL 2026 tournament opener on March 28 in Bengaluru.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have begun their practice sessions as they prep to defend their Indian Premier League title when the IPL 2026 begins on March 28. RCB will face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the opening game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

During the recent practice sessions, veteran batter Virat Kohli and experienced pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar had quite a duel. The session was marked by intensity and competitiveness between the two former Indian teammates.

A video that soon went viral showed Bhuvneshwar unleashing a pinpoint fuller delivery that nearly broke through Kohli's defense, providing an early sign of the squad's sharpness as they prepare for the season.

The delivery was a fuller one that went down the leg-side to bamboozle Kohli, who floundered, before picking the ball and handing it back to Bhuvneshwar.

Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were both the center of RCB’s IPL 2025 win under Rajat Patidar’s captaincy. Kohli made 657 runs at a strike rate of 144.71 with eight fifties to his name. On the other hand, Bhuvneshwar picked 17 wickets in 14 matches at an economy of 9.29 in his first outing for RCB.
