Arjun aims to redefine his career in a new environment at LSG.
Arjun Tendulkar has moved to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the IPL 2026 season, seeking a fresh start after leaving Mumbai Indians (MI).
Traded for INR 30 lakh, the left-arm pacer aims to redefine his career in a new environment. Arjun, who recently married Saaniya Chandhok, returned to cricket soon after his wedding as he worked closely with legendary India cricketer Yuvraj Singh.
In a video shared by LSG on social media, Arjun was seen talking to Rishabh Pant, who seemed impressed by the former’s work ethic.
“You were also practising with Yuvi paa… full-time? Shadi ke agle din hi? You are so enthu bhai,” Pant remarked.
The LSG captain also offered his support to Arjun. “Agar kuch lage to batana… Always open for you,” he said.
In the clip, Pant also asked Arjun about the weight of his bat. “Tera kitna hae bhai (What's the weight of your bat)?” he questioned.
“1220,” Arjun replied. Pant followed up, “Bhaari se kya faida hae (What's the advantage of using heavier bats)?”
Arjun explained, “Touch karo ho jaata hae. Papa to 1310-1315 mein khelte the. 1200 se halka jaata nahi hoon main (Just a touch does it. My father used to play with bats weighing 1310-1315. I don't go below 1200),” referring to father Sachin Tendulkar’s fondness of using heavier bats during his illustrious career.
Arjun Tendulkar's IPL journey, starting with Mumbai Indians in 2021 for INR 20 lakh, has been characterized by patience and limited opportunities, with his debut arriving in 2023 at the Wankhede Stadium against KKR. After injuries in 2021 and appearing in four matches for three wickets in 2023, he played just one game in 2024, ahead of moving to LSG for the 2026 edition.
