IND v SA 2025: WATCH- Gautam Gambhir sends message via Sanju Samson to give the final over to Kuldeep Yadav

India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the third T20I in Dharamshala.

Gautam Gambhir, the Indian cricket team's head coach, devised a brilliant strategy that gave his team a huge advantage in the third T20I against South Africa on Sunday. South Africa toiled greatly against the Indian bowlers, and while they were unable to make a large total, the batsmen hoped to score big in the final over of the innings.

Aiden Markram was the star for South Africa, as he smashed 61 runs, hitting six fours and two sixes. The other batters faltered in front of disciplined Indian bowling.

When the time to bowl the final over came, Hardik Pandya was seen warming up to take the ball. However, Gautam Gambhir sent a message to substitute Sanju Samson, and Samson ran on to the field and signaled to captain Suryakumar Yadav to bowl Kuldeep Yadav instead.

Kuldeep responded with two crucial wickets as South Africa were bundled out for just 117.

Suryakumar Yadav credited the bowlers' preparation and discipline in friendly bowling conditions for setting up a comfortable victory in Dharamsala.

“The bowlers sat together, and we had a good team meeting as well. We came for practice sessions and tried to do the same things we did in Cuttack. We went back to basics. We didn't try to do a lot of different things, but I think the basics were very important at that time,” he stated at the presentation.

A win in Lucknow on Wednesday will give India the series win.

“I think we'll enjoy it tonight. We'll enjoy the win tonight. We'll sit down tomorrow when we reach Lucknow and then see what happened in this game and talk about that,” concluded Suryakumar.
