Kohli's celebration went viral on the internet.
India and South Africa are currently locking horns in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur.
Defending the formidable total of 358, the hosts drew first blood in the fifth over as Arshdeep Singh dismissed Quinton de Kock for just 8 runs off 11 balls.
The Proteas opener decided to take an aerial route against the left-arm quick but failed to make the desired connection and was caught by Washington Sundar at mid-on.
After Sundar completed the catch, India’s star batter Virat Kohli erupted in a hilarious celebration. Kohli's celebratory dance and 'Baba Ji Ka Thullu' gesture took the internet by storm.
Here’s the clip:
Earlier in the day, Virat Kohli smashed his 53rd ODI century and second consecutive in the ongoing series against South Africa. He followed up his dazzling 135 (120 balls) in the first ODI in Ranchi with a brilliant 102 (93 balls) in Raipur.
During his knock, Kohli added 195 runs for the third wicket with Ruturaj Gaikwad, who made 105 runs from 83 balls. Their tons propelled the Men in Blue to 358/5 in 50 overs.
