Virat Kohli was the Player of the Match in India's win in first ODI over South Africa in Ranchi.
Kohli’s 135 runs and half-centuries by Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul helped India post 349/8 in 50 overs. The total proved a bit too much for South Africa, who, thanks to half-centuries by Matthew Breetzke, Corbin Bosch, and Marco Jansen, recovered well from 11/3 but fell 17 runs short of the target.
Virat Kohli was named the Player of the Match for his 52nd ODI century. However, a video has surfaced where Kohli can be seen ignoring South Africa coach Shukri Conrad during the post-match handshakes.
This comes after Conrad triggered a controversy during a Guwahati Test press conference when he said that he wanted the Indian team to 'grovel.' This was in response to a question on why South Africa delayed the declaration in the second innings.
In the aforementioned video, Kohli is about to reach Conrad, but no attempt to extend a hand to the South Africa coach could be observed from the India star.
Before the video ended, Kohli went on to shake hands with the next two South Africans in line. The video was too short to determine whether Kohli had already shaken hands with Conrad before the initial moment shown in the clip.

The term 'grovel' has enormous, negative racial and historical baggage in cricket, having been memorably used in 1976 by then-England captain Tony Greig (a white South African) to indicate his intention to humiliate the West Indies squad.
