Gill's stunning catch ended the dangerous looking partnership between Duckett and Crawley.
Opting to bat first, the visitors got off to an impressive start as the duo of Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley added 64 runs for the opening wicket.
Kuldeep Yadav drew the first blood for India as he dismissed Duckett for 27 in the 18th over of England’s first innings. Shubman Gill also played a significant role in that dismissal as he grabbed a stunning running catch.
Duckett went for a mighty heave but mistimed the shot and the ball went up in the air. Gill, positioned in the cover, ran beyond the 30-yard circle and pulled off a perfectly timed dive to complete a brilliant catch.

At the stroke of lunch break, Kuldeep Yadav also got rid of Ollie Pope for just 11. As a result, India reduced England to 100/2 in the first session. Zak Crawley was still unbeaten at the crease for the tourists, holding fort at 61*.
Having won the last three Tests, India have already taken an unassailable 3-1 lead over England in the five-match series.
