India leads the five-Test series against England 3-1.
The trio has played a huge role in the Indian team's wins in Tests in Vizag, Rajkot, and Ranchi after the hosts had lost the first Test in Hyderabad.
Former India captain Sourav Ganguly spoke in detail about the performances of the three Indian spinners in the Test series against England. He first talked about R Ashwin, who became the first Indian off-spinner to take 500 plus wickets in Tests.
“All-time great, all-time great offspring. 500 wickets is not a matter of joke,” Ganguly said while speaking on RevzSportz.
Ganguly was also praiseful of Ravindra Jadeja as well, who missed one Test due to an injury. Jadeja has contributed with both the bat and the ball and is now the top-ranked all-rounder in the longest format.
“Then you have Jadeja, the best all-rounder at the moment. Bat and ball in these conditions,” said Ganguly.
Ganguly also lauded Kuldeep Yadav for his brilliant comeback in the Indian team. Kuldeep was picked in the team over Akshar Patel when Jadeja was injured and the management has stuck with him since. He has proven the faith in him correct.
Ganguly mentioned, “I think Kuldeep has come back immensely. He’s improved immensely. And I think with bowlers like Ashwin and Jadeja, he’s not been underdone by them. He’s made a mark of his in the series and will go on to play for India for a long period.”
The fifth and final Test between India and England will begin on March 7 in Dharamshala.
