Young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal continues to make headlines in the world cricket with his remarkable batting performances. The left-hander recently smashed two double centuries in his last three Test matches of the ongoing five-match Test series against England.

His aggressive style has drawn comparisons to legendary West Indies batter Chris Gayle. However, the ‘Universal Boss’ said that Jaiswal's batting approach reminds him of the "attacking version" of his former West Indies teammate Shivnarine Chanderpaul.

Gayle further warned against tinkering with Jaiswal's technique, as he stressed that the young Indian opener’s has the talent and potential to reach new heights.

Chris Gayle was quoted as saying by AFP: “A lot will be expected of him as he goes on but they should just let him continue to flow. He’s an attacking player, you see that in his T20 cricket as well…That’s in his nature as well and they shouldn’t try to curb him or try to change him.”

Gayle also reacted to the comments made by England opener Ben Duckett, who said that England's aggressive batting in Test cricket has influenced their ‘Bazball’ approach.

He also gave credit to Jaiswal's coach, Jwala Singh, for his success.

He signed off by saying, “I don’t think he (Jaiswal) learnt it from England. That style of play he developed with his coach and mentor (Jwala Singh). He’s just phenomenal. It’s like the guy has been playing for 20 years, unbelievable. I just hope he can keep it up.”
