Yashasvi Jaiswal has been having a brilliant outing in the ongoing Test series against England. In the third Test being played in Rajkot, Jaiswal achieved a huge milestone in his short Test career.

Jaiswal had hit his 3rd Test ton on day three of the ongoing Rajkot Test but had to retire hurt in the final session of the day due to a niggle in his back. India then sent out nightwatchman Kuldeep Yadav as replacement who resumed the India innings on day four.

Kuldeep and Shubman Gill added 55 runs for the 4th wicket before Gill was run out for 91 runs. This brought Jaiswal back to the crease and he resumed his innings from 104*. But his knock after resumption was a completely different one as he took the attack to England pacers and spinners alike.

He reached his 150 in 192 balls and completed his second successive double-century in just 231 balls. The highlight of his knock was a world record equaling 12 sixes, which included a hat-trick of maximums against James Anderson in one over.

Jaiswal equaled Wasim Akram’s record of 12 sixes in an innings and remained unbeaten on 214 with 14 fours and 12 sixes.

When captain Rohit Sharma declared the innings, Jaiswal had added 172* runs with Sarfaraz Khan for 5th wicket. Sarfaraz remained unbeaten on 68 with 6 fours and 3 sixes, scoring his second fifty in his debut Test.

Meanwhile, the cricket fraternity was all praises for the young Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who became the third Indian batter to hit consecutive Test double-tons.
