Younis also praised Bumrah for his amazing 6/45 in England's 1st innings.
Day 2 of the match saw Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring his maiden Test double hundred and then Zak Crawley scoring a breezy 76 runs in a counter attack. However, the England innings was hindered by Jasprit Bumrah taking 6/45, as he also completed 150 Test wickets.
One of those wickets was of Ollie Pope who had settled it and played more than 50 deliveries. However, Bumrah rattled his stumps with a searing yorker that tailed into the batter and uprooted the middle and leg stumps.
Waqar Younis heaped praise on star India pacer Jasprit Bumrah for his bowling performances on social media platform X. He responded to a user's question on if the ball delivered by Bumrah to Pope reminded him of anyone, Waqar replied, "Can't think of anyone Hemant. Bumrah's Magic."
Bumrah became the fastest Indian speedster to pick 150+ wickets in long-format cricket. He reached the remarkable feat after delivering 6781 balls in Test cricket. Umesh Yadav is now in the second spot with 7661 balls. Mohammed Shami and Kapil Dev hold the third and fourth place with 7755 and 8378 balls respectively.
