Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube was over the moon, as he received the 'Man of the Series' award for his outstanding contribution to India's 3-0 series triumph over Afghanistan.

Dube showcased his skills with a remarkable 60-run knock off 40 balls at PCA Stadium in Mohali in the first T20I, followed by an unbeaten 63 off just 32 balls, to play a crucial role in Team India's T20I series-clinching win in Indore against Afghanistan.

However, Dube was dismissed for 1 in the final game in Bengaluru, where the Men in Blue won the double super over to clean-sweep Afghanistan in the T20I series at home.

Well, Dube’s all-around abilities stood out, amassing 124 runs and taking two important wickets to win the Man of the Series award.

Shivam Dube said in the post-match presentation: “Definitely a wonderful series, you dream of winning this award as an allrounder, happy to have achieved it. There are many aspects to work on, got to bowl in these three matches, I've learnt many things.”

Meanwhile, India head coach Rahul Dravid also lauded Dube, saying he made an impressive comeback as an improved player and they are with his progress.

Dravid said, “I'm happy for him because he made a comeback after a long time. He is certainly come back an improved player. There's no doubt that he always had the talent. But really happy to see the way he performed in this series. I’m sure it'll give him a lot of confidence as well. You come back in, play a series, and become the Player of the Series. I think it's great.”

He signed off by saying, “He'll have the opportunity to show in the IPL again like he did last year. But really happy for him, he showed us that he's got some really good ability through those middle overs against spin and also with the ball. I think he bowled some good overs and he's learnt some lessons as well. I can be a very unforgiving place, bowling in a place like Bengaluru.”
