India registered a thrilling 7-run victory over England in the series-deciding third ODI.
Asked to bat first, the hosts posted 329/10 in 48.2 overs on the back of half-centuries from Rishabh Pant (78 off 62 balls), Shikhar Dhawan (67 off 56 balls) and Hardik Pandya (64 off 44 balls).
In the chase, England were reeling at 200/7 at one stage before Sam Curran’s valiant 83-ball 95* took them close to the target.
Defending 14 in the final over, T Natarajan conceded only 6 runs to seal the deal for India. Shardul Thakur (4-67) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3-42) were the stars with the ball, sharing seven wickets between them.
By virtue of this victory, the Virat Kohli-led Indian side also clinched the three-match ODI series 2-1.
