Mumbai batsman Suryakumar Yadav returned to the Indian playing XI for the fourth T20I against England being played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, after missing out on the previous game.

Suryakumar had made his debut in the second T20I against England but didn’t get to bat in the match as Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli did the job for India. However, this match is a must-win for the home side, as a loss here will give England the series win.

Suryakumar was promoted to no.3 in the batting order as Rohit Sharma fell to Chris Jordan for 12 runs. Sharma had started well with a six off the first ball of the match, hit off Adil Rashid.

He was facing Jofra Archer on his first ball of international innings and received a 143 kph short delivery bowled at the leg stump. However, Surya moved towards his off-stump and smoked the ball over the fine leg with a finely timed pull shot.

Here is the video of the shot:

Suryakumar’s shot made quite a waves as it displayed the enormous talent this batsman has and to hit someone like Jofra Archer who he was facing for the first time in international cricket, for a six, was a huge achievement.

The Cricket fraternity was awed by Suryakumar’s shot and lauded the batsman on Twitter.
