Former India batsman Virender Sehwag got reminded of ex-India wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni with Ishan Kishan's splendid knock against England on Sunday (March 14). Kishan, who made his India debut, scored 32-ball 56 runs in the second T20I at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Sehwag saw some similarity between Kishan's innings and Dhoni's knock against Pakistan. He posted a tweet lauding the 22-year-old's fearless batting and said this has happened before.

"A young keeper batsman from Jharkhand promoted up the batting order and proving his caliber. This has happened before," he tweeted. The tweet further read, "Loved the fearlessness and attacking batting of Ishan Kishan."

Batting first, England posted a score of 164/6 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Jason Roy was the top scorer for the visitors with 46 (35). They struggled to score runs in the last five overs and failed to get a competitive total.

Kishan's knock helped India secure their first win of the five-match T20I series after losing the opening match. They won the match by 7 wickets and chased down 165 in just 17.5 overs. Apart from the India opener, captain Virat Kohli also scored a half-century.
