Team India head coach Ravi Shastri heaped praise for Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and said that in the last two months what he has done for India, no one would ever do that in a lifetime.
After being dropped from India's limited-overs set-up and getting trolled for his weight and performances during IPL 2020; Rishabh Pant's turnaround is one of the most remarkable ones being witnessed in the history of Indian cricket.
Team India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has had a wonderful 2021 till now. The 23-years-old was one of the reasons behind India’s triumph in Australia and then carried his superb form with the bat in a defining performance against England.
Prior to his batting, Pant has been a prophecy with the gloves as the former exhibited phenomenal glovework behind the wickets and pulled out some stunning catches and stumpings.

Addressing the press conference, Team India head coach Ravi Shashtri compared the success of Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar to his own career trajectory. He remarked that Pant has worked hardest among the Indian team players and the results are for everyone to see.
"At 21, I had similar success, so I can relate to what these guys have done. Yes, after IPL Pant came with a lot of baggage. He has trained harder than anyone. The results are not just for him to see but for the whole world to see," Ravi Shastri said during a virtual press conference.
Shastri further said that Rishabh Pant has achieved something at such a young age, which not many do during their entire careers, and added that the latter’s keeping was outstanding.
"When you have a naturally brilliant match-winner of his ability playing to the potential there is no greater sight for cricket. I think in the last two months what he has done for India, no one would ever do that in a lifetime. His keeping was outstanding," he said
With an emphatic 3-1 series victory over England, Virat Kohli led side sealed their spot in the final of the inaugural edition of ICC World Test Championship, to be played at Lords from June 18 to 22.
