It is a historic moment for Ishant as he became only the second Indian fast bowler after the legendary Kapil Dev to play 100 Tests.
Having made his debut in 2007, Ishant has played 99 Tests so far, claiming 302 wickets at an average of 32.22 with 11 five-wicket hauls.
The lanky speedster was an integral member of the Indian side that headed the ICC Test rankings for more than three years (2016-2020). He also played a crucial role in India’s maiden Test series triumph on Australian soil in 2018-19.
Ahead of his milestone game, Indian cricket fraternity congratulated Ishant Sharma and wished him best of luck for the Test match.
