With 317 runs victory over England in second Test, Team India moved to second place in ICC WTC table.
Former Indian skipper Virender Sehwag took to his Twitter handle and trolled England over their complaints of the pitch in Chennai which offered turn right from Day 1 of the second Test match between India and England.
Replying to India’s first innings total of 329 runs, England was bundled out for just 134 runs, and following that many English pundits criticized the Chennai pitch and compared the surface at Chepauk to a beach, and said that conditions were unacceptable to Test match cricket.
England batsmen struggled against the Indian spin trio of R Ashwin, Akshar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav and managed to score 134 and 164 respectively in their two innings as compared to India, who made 329 and 286 respectively.
However, after being dominated by England in the first Test-match, Team India bounced back to register their biggest win over England in Test matches as the hosts notched up a massive 317-run victory to level the series 1-1.
Though criticism of the Chennai wicket for the second Test between India and England continues unabated, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag took to his Twitter handle and took a jibe at visitors over the Chepauk pitch criticism.
Sehwag shared a joke stating the pitch curator's response to English players when asked if there was going to be less spin in Ahmedabad compared to Chennai.
The former India opener shared a Bollywood movie dialogue as the curator's response, which read, "I can't guarantee that."
