There was a minor security breach on the 3rd day of the second Test match between India and England when a young kid came onto the ground during the lunch break.

The kid, seated in the E block of the MA Chidambaram Stadium, decided to jump over the fence between the fans and the players. He came onto the ground during the lunch break when the players participating in the game were in their dressing rooms but the rest of the players were out on the field for practice.

This is the first game in India since before the COVID-19 pandemic took over, to have fans inside the stadium.

The kid, wearing a replica of the blue Indian jersey with Virat 18 written on the back of it, came in just a few feet before he was stopped and thus caused no harm to any of the players or the support staff of either of the teams.

Here is a picture of the kid climbing the fence:

The red spot marked in the picture in the below tweet is the longest he could get into the ground. The area is still far away from the players.

Just to be clear. The marked spot (approximately) is till where the kid was able to reach. To the left of the image is the English Team and to the right is Team India. @sportstarweb pic.twitter.com/RIAynbL1V9
