Indian captain Virat Kohli is known for being animated on the field and showing his emotions without any inhibitions. With the ongoing second Test against England in Chennai seeing the return of crowds in the stadium, Kohli got a chance to show off during the second day’s play.

Kohli has already given social media one meme-worthy expression after he was clean bowled by Moeen Ali during India’s first innings.

Kohli was left gobsmacked after Moeen Ali got a ball to turn from outside off stumps, where bowlers’ footmarks got the ball to come in sharply and it went through the gap between Kohli’s bat and pad and hit the top of the stumps.

Despite that, India still managed to post 329 runs in the first innings thanks to 161 from Rohit Sharma and half-centuries from Rishabh Pant and Ajinkya Rahane.

IND v ENG 2021: "There's such sturdy layer of confidence," says Sanjay Manjrekar on Virat Kohli

The bowlers then came to the party and reduced England to 52/5 with the likes of Joe Root, Ben Stokes, and both openers Rory Burns and Dom Sibley back in the pavilion. This gave the crowd enough to make noise and the Chennai Janta thoroughly enjoyed the Indian team’s performance with the ball.

Virat Kohli on his part, also helped the crowd hype up, as he was seen whistling and asking the crowd to make some noise. Kohli is known to get the crowds involved wherever the Indian team plays and if he can get the Indian crowd to make noise overseas, the Chennai crowd is witnessing international cricket after a long time and they obliged their captain and did the same.
