India coach Rahul Dravid has ended the suspense on what Virat Kohli had ordered for lunch on day two while the two were in conversation after Kohli had fallen LBW to Matthew Kuhnemann. Dravid’s revelation came after India defeated Australia by 6 wickets on day three of the match.

India also retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the third time and now moved one step closer to the qualification for the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC 2023) final, apart from taking a 2-0 lead in the four-Test series.

Player of the Match Ravindra Jadeja picked 7/42, completing 10 wickets in the encounter and R Ashwin took 3/59 as Australia crumbled from 61/1 to 113 all-out. Then Cheteshwar Pujara (31*) and Rohit Sharma (31) ensured that India won the Test match without too much damage.

Virat Kohli had looked good for his 20 runs in the second innings but got out stumped for the first time in his Test career.

Meanwhile, a video had gone viral on day two of the Test match late in the evening, when Virat Kohli received a special food delivery. Kohli was engaged in a serious discussion with coach Rahul Dravid when the official brought food; upon seeing the delivery, Kohli clapped his hands and asked the official to keep the food inside, before continuing on his discussion with Dravid.

Many wondered what the food was and guessed that it had to be Chhole-Bhature as during an interview with Gaurav Kapur in 2016, Kohli had revealed that Chhole Bhature was his favorite dish.

However, Rahul Dravid revealed that it was not Chhole-Bhature, when he took part in an interview on Star Sports, after India’s win. As the interview drew to a close, anchor Mayanti Langer asked Dravid about the moment with Kohli on Day 2.

It wasn’t Chole Bhature, it was Kulcha Chole. He was tempting me with it but I said I’m 50 years old, I can’t handle so much cholesterol anymore,” Dravid said laughing.
