IND v AUS 2023: WATCH- Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja attempt Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jhoome jo Pathaan’ step

Ravindra Jadeja was named the Player of the Match for his 7 wickets and important knock of 70 runs as India demolished Australia in the first Test in Nagpur of the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.

After wiping out Australia for 177 in the first innings, India posted a huge 400 in their first do with Rohit Sharma leading the way with a sublime 120, while Akshar Patel hit his career-best 84 and Jadeja made 70 runs.

Earlier Jadeja had picked 5/47 in what is his comeback match to international cricket after a five-month injury layoff.

Though debutant Todd Murphy shined with the ball with figures of 7/124, the Australian batters crumbled in the second innings for just 91 runs as R Ashwin ran through them with a fifer, while Jadeja and Shami both took two wickets each.

India won the match by innings and 132 runs and took an important 1-0 lead in the series.

Meanwhile, in a viral video, Ravindra Jadeja and Virat Kohli, who had an off game as he couldn’t do much with the bat and dropped a few catches as well, were seen attempting the ‘Jhoome jo Pathaan’ hook step from Shah Rukh Khan’s recent blockbuster movie ‘Pathaan.

The clip shows Indian players preparing to come onto the field after their batting as they were waiting to get a pep talk from Rohit Sharma near the boundary ropes. As Kohli and Jadeja waited for the rest of the pack to join the huddle, they were seen showing off their dance moves.

First Kohli did the hook step of ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’, before Jadeja, joined in as well.
