Defending the modest total of 231, Archer bowled his heart out, claiming three wickets by conceding just 34 runs in his stipulated 10 overs. David Warner (6), Marcus Stoinis (9) and Mitchell Marsh (1) were his victims.

After his Player-of-the-Match performance, Jofra took to Twitter to share a video of his bowling where he nutmegs his skipper Eoin Morgan after Australia’s Alex Carey defended his delivery.

“Best part of the night for me… close em skip, what you recon @MarcusRashford?” he wrote in the caption.

Manchester United striker Rashford showered rich praise on Archer’s nifty footwork as he tweeted: “My brother so great to see you happy doing what you’re doing. And you’re DOING it”.

In the same post, England batsman Sam Billing replied: “How good is a nutmeg”.

To which, Rashford responded saying: “Live for it!”

With the victory in the second ODI, England also levelled the series 1-1. The decider will be played in Manchester on Wednesday (September 16).
