Jurel kept wickets in place of injured Rishabh Pant in the recent Lord's Test.
Rishabh Pant was observed in severe pain following the collision, and he left the field after being assessed by the physio. Jurel then took over wicketkeeping duties for the Indian cricket team for the duration of England's first innings, as well as their second innings, while Pant merely batted.
Following the completion of the third Test at Lord's in London, which India lost by 22 runs to go 2-1 behind in the series, a video featuring Dhruv Jurel has gone viral on social media.
Because the 24-year-old was not in India's playing XI for the Lord's Test, he sat near the boundary lines while the team played.
In the video shared by Jurel’s IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals, a fan makes a cheeky request for chilled water. Jurel readily cooperated in a wonderful gesture, pulling a water bottle from a box and tossing it towards the fan, much to the joy of the crowd.
